ILIPA initiated a request that J. B. Pritzker, Governor of Illinois, proclaim October as ILLINOIS INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY MONTH.  ILIPA enlisted the support of IPLAC and the Linn Inn of Court as well and October, 2023 became the first Illinois IP Month
